Glendale, CA at a Glance
Glendale, one of the 88 cities that make up the Los
Angeles area, sits at the foot of the Verdugo Mountains. A large ethnic diversity
here results in a wealth of exciting and unique attractions, activities and restaurants.
As with much of southern California, the film industry is prominent in Glendale,
with the DreamWorks SKG main studio located here. Glendale was also the starting
point for two fast food chains, in Bob's
Big Boy and Baskin
Robbins 31 Flavors. For shopping, the Glendale
Galleria is home to a large assortment of shops and services, including a
children's play area and an arcade. Recreation is abundant in Glendale as well,
with a large number of parks that offer everything from baseball diamonds to skateboard
ramps, as well as mountain hikes and nature trails that offer a scenic view of
the Greater Los Angeles
area.
